The Young Preservationist of the Year award is presented to a person under twenty years of age who has already made a notable contribution to transport preservation.
The award not only recognises excellence, but also the profound need to attract young people into the transport heritage movement - if it is to continue to thrive.
The winner of this award receives a cheque for £500.
The Award
To nominate someone for the Young Preservationist of the Year award, you will need to demonstrate a specific achievement in the preceding year.

Our 2009 winner
In 2009 we were able to present the Award to an outstanding young preservationist. Look here to see who received the Award from HRH Prince Michael.
