Members of the Transport Trust have been invited to visit the Beeches Light Railway in Steeple Aston in Oxfordshire on either Saturday 26th May 2018 or on Saturday 25th August 2018. The Beeches Light Railway is a private narrow gauge railway in the garden of Adrian Shooter, the former director of Chiltern Railways.

There is approximately 1 mile of track, and visitors on the open days are free to wander around the track and engine sheds at will, with many photo opportunities of the 2’ gauge engine which will be operational all afternoon. Unlimited free travel and a BBQ lunch is included in the £30 ticket price.  The day starts at 12:15, with lunch being served from 13:00.

Final numbers and payment needs to be advised to the Beeches Light Railway at least two weeks before each day, so it is necessary for attendees to book and pay for places before either the 5th of May or the 5th of August. Only those whose cheques have been received by the requisite date will be able to attend. This is a delightful garden railway which some members have visited before. Please send your application and a cheque, for £30 per person, made out to The Transport Trust to John Gribble, 18 Vincent Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 3JB. Please also email John Gribble to say you are coming. The full address of the railway will be emailed to those attending.
