  • Amberley Working Museum
    An open-air museum dedicated to the industrial heritage of the south-east, Amberley contains a wide range of transport-related exhibits, such as the Southdown bus collection & the village garage.


  • Aston Manor Road Transport Museum
    A collection of historic and classic vehicles and related exhibits from a bygone era, all in the original setting of a Birmingham Tram Depot.


  • Black Country Museum
    The museum site has the biggest trolleybus route in England, a 0.8 mile round trip which features overhead apparatus rescued largely from Wolverhampton and Walsall. This is the only regular route service for trolley buses in the U.K.


  • Coventry Transport Museum
    Coventry is the birthplace of the British cycle and motor industry, and the Museum displays the world's largest collection of British road transport. Coventry has had nearly 600 companies making cycles, motorcars, commercial vehicles and motorcycles, and the majority of the collection is Coventry built or has a strong connection with the city.


  • Dover Transport Museum
    Now in a permanent home where the past, present and future are brought together.


  • East Anglia Transport Museum
    A living museum where vehicles of yesteryear can be seen in action, travelling along the Museum's streets of houses and shops, complete with authentic street furniture of bygone days, rescued from many parts of the country.


  • Glasgow Museum of Transport
    The Museum of Transport in Kelvin Hall is one of the most popular museums of transport in the British Isles. It houses many exhibits of national and international importance, using its collections of vehicles and models to tell the story of transport by land and sea, with a unique Glasgow flavour.


  • Grampian Transport Museum
    Follow the history of travel and transport in the North East of Scotland through dramatic displays, working exhibits and DVD presentations. The world's oldest Sentinel Steam Waggon (1914)is still steamed regularly!


  • Ipswich Transport Museum
    The largest collection of transport items in Britain devoted to just one town. Everything was either made or used in and around Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk.


  • Isle of Wight Bus Museum
    Housed in a former grain store, the museum contains an impressive display of vintage buses and coaches presenting the Island’s transport heritage, from a 1889 tram car and a 1927 Daimler, to more recent vehicles. There are examples of vehicles under restoration, many items of memorabilia, and a vast collection of photographs reflecting the heyday of the Island as a holiday destination.


  • Keighley Bus Museum
    The collection of some 20 vehicles in running order and another 30 awaiting restoration is housed at Riverside Depot where servicing, maintenance and restoration work is carried out. Unfortunately this building is not suitable to be opened as a real museum on a permanent basis and the Bus Museum Trust is currently working to create a permanent home.


  • Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum
    A collection of over 65 vintage cars, buses and commercial vehicles spanning 77 years of road transport history. There are also many interesting displays of transport history including a traditional workshop.


  • Londons Transport Museum
    A collection of items that reflect all aspects of the history of public transport in London from 1800 to the present day. Ranging from uniform buttons to buses and complete Tube trains, the Museum's collections are the most comprehensive of their type anywhere in the world, numbering some 375,000 items.


  • Manchester Museum of Transport
    From an elaborately painted Victorian open-top horse drawn tram, to the streamlined prototype of Manchester’s Metrolink tram, the museum holds fascinating vehicles of historic interest including a 1920’s solid-tyred bus, early trams, trolley buses and even the ‘charras’ that took Manchester folk on their outings to the coast and countryside.


  • North of England Open Air Museum
    The Beamish tramway fleet consists of six beautifully restored vehicles running in a 1½ mile circuit of the museum with stops in or near each of the period areas. A replica bus carries visitors between The Town and Colliery Village, based on a type used by Northern General Transport Corporation Ltd in 1913.


  • Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre
    A modest collection of road vehicles complementing the Great Central Railway.


  • Oxford Bus Museum
    A bus collection of national importance, over 40 vehicles are on display. In addition there are various other exhibits on loan, from fire engines to bicycles. The museum also houses the Morris Motors collection, telling the story of how cars and commercial vehicles were produced at Cowley.


  • South Yorkshire Bus Museum
    With a broad remit covering all forms of transport in South Yorkshire, the Museum is currently home to 30 vehicles, including buses, a tram, train and a tractor. All of these vehicles are at different stages of restoration, some fully restored to their former glory.


  • The Transport Museum, Wythall
    Extensive collections of buses, battery electric vehicles and a miniature steam railway. The "Midland Red" exhibits are particularly important because the company built its own buses for half a century and was regularly at the leading edge of bus design.


  • The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft
    The Trolleybus Museum is home to the world's largest collection of preserved trolleybuses. The Museum is also home to a selection of other vehicles with trolleybus era or local area connections. The Trolleybus Driving Experience is a unique chance to get behind the wheel of a vintage British trolleybus.
