




Lifetime Achievement Award 2009
Recognising Exceptional Service
The Trust’s Lifetime Achievement Award is very special, paying tribute to those who have rendered long and exceptionally meritorious service to the transport preservation movement.
In 2009 three Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented by our Patron, HRH Prince Michael of Kent.

John Reeves
John Reeves received a lifetime achievement award in recognition of a long career writing about and promoting the restoration of working steam, on the road and on the land.

John Fasal
John Fasal was recognised for a lifetime's contribution to the restoration and preservation of Rolls Royce motor cars.

John Wylson
John Wylson's award was given for 37 years of dedication to the preservation and operation of the smack Excelsior, the only remaining sailing trawler in the UK equipped to fish in the traditional manner.

The Transport Trust awards its premier trophy to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the cause of transport heritage preservation. Look here to see who received the 2009 Preservationist of the Year Award from Prince Michael.
