Tickets have been reserved for members to visit Sir William McAlpine’s Railway and Museum at Fawley Hill near Henley on Sunday 2nd July 2017. Times are from 12:00 till around 17:00.

There are no restrictions on whom may attend however although wheelchair passengers can be accommodated on the train please note the museum does not have wheelchair accessible toilets and part of the museum building is only accessible via stairs.

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic or (new for 2017) refreshments will be available via a pop-up café in the station building.

The train may be ridden as often as visitors like and they normally run about 10-12 trains per day with each trip taking around 15 minutes as the line is 1.25 miles in length.

Admission to Fawley is strictly by invitation only and although there is no admission charge they ask all visitors to make a suggested voluntary donation of £10 (adults >16 years) and £5 (children 10-15). Children under 10 still need an invitation but they do not request a donation for youngsters.

Visitor numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis to Transport Trust members and guests. I have asked for 20 tickets at present but more may be available if early responses are high. Please e-mail John Gribble at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 14th May 2017 if you wish to attend and let me know numbers. Invitations will then be e-mailed out by Fawley Hill.
